Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your use of the ChequePoint iOS application, operated by ChequePoint LLC ("ChequePoint", "we", "us"). By downloading or using ChequePoint, you agree to these terms. ChequePoint is licensed, not sold, under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), which is incorporated into these terms. If there is any conflict between these terms and Apple's standard EULA, Apple's EULA applies.
Not financial advice
ChequePoint is an informational tool only. ChequePoint does not provide investment, financial, tax, legal, or accounting advice. All calculations, safe-to-spend amounts, spending curves, bill schedules, and net worth numbers are estimates based on user input or synced account data. Data may be delayed, incomplete, or subject to bank feed timing differences. You should always verify balances and figures directly with your financial institution before making financial decisions.
Subscriptions and billing
ChequePoint is free to download. Connecting banks for automatic sync requires ChequePoint Pro or its free trial. CSV import, manual tracking, budgets, paychecks, and net worth are free. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple Account upon purchase confirmation.
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle.
- Free trial: New subscribers may be offered a free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription begins and your Apple Account is charged the monthly price shown in the App Store. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Cancellation and refunds: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in iPhone Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions. All billing and refund requests are handled directly by Apple according to App Store policies.
Your data and account
- You are responsible for keeping your Apple Account and iCloud access secure, which ChequePoint uses for authentication and sync.
- Connecting bank accounts is optional and handled securely through Plaid subject to Plaid's terms of service. You authorize the app to display your account data.
- You can disconnect bank accounts or delete your data at any time inside the app.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse ChequePoint, reverse engineer the application except as permitted by law, attempt unauthorized access to our backend relay infrastructure, or use the application for any unlawful purpose.
Warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability
ChequePoint is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the extent permitted by law, ChequePoint LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the application. Total liability is limited to the amount paid for the application during the preceding twelve months.
